Overview:

Put your nursing expertise to work at a Magnet-designated, university-affiliated hospital located just six blocks from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor by joining the team on Mercy Medical Center’s Mother/Baby Unit.

Our Clinical Nurses (RN) in Mother/Baby independently perform clinical care in a family centered environment.  Working with a dedicated team, the RN provides evidence-based, high quality care to mothers and newborns, with couplet care, and newborn nursery  care supported.  The RN serves as a resource for other team members. Our 30 bed, all private room unit is a part of the Family Childbirth and Children’s Center at Mercy.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

A diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll within six months of employment)

A license (RN) to practice in Maryland or the ability to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing board

One - two years of clinical nursing experience is strongly preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician experience in Women’s and Children’s Services will be considered.

Healthcare Provider-Level CPR (BLS) certification, and NRP is required
