Shoreline Animal Hospital has been serving Clinton, CT and the surrounding areas for over 30 years. With a long history of providing excellent care, and a deep commitment to the pets and families in their community, the veterinarians and staff at Shoreline are looking to add a veterinarian who embraces these same values.

We are building a brand-new state-of-the-art facility and the incoming Veterinarian could have input on everything from the floor plan to finishing touches! Our premium pet care facilities are thoughtfully designed by veterinary experts to reduce clinical headaches. Optimized for flow and feel, this new hospital will include top of the line equipment, beautiful surgery suites, a luxury breakroom, fear-free interior and more. Clinton, located on the beautiful Connecticut coast, is a thriving small-town community offering a unique blend of historic New England charm and modern amenities. Responsibilities:
Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
Treat and dress wounds
Perform surgery on animals
Test for and vaccinate against diseases
Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
Prescribe medication
Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
Strong fondness and understanding of animals
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of animal behavior
Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
