Responsibilities:

The Physical Security Coordinator, under the direction and supervision of the Senior Physical Security Manager, is responsible for coordinating the organization-wide physical security systems, physical security program administration, and ensuring the regulatory compliance of the physical security program.  

Position is based out of the Lowry Corporate Offices in Denver, CO.  

Physical Security – 100%

Configuring and administering physical security systems.

Overseeing issuing, assigning access rights for access control cards or key fobs and decommissioning of access control cards.

Performing audits of documentation, departments, and functions to ensure adherence to regulatory guidance.

Monitoring physical security systems maintenance and repairs. 

Monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actions and coordinates follow up as required.

Recommending corrective actions and/or shows improvement opportunities to reduce regulatory non-compliance.

Monitoring global safety and security concerns that affect our offices or employees using a global threat management platform.

Coordinating with internal and external security, emergency services law enforcement personnel when required.

Provide timely and accurate reporting and updates to ongoing incidents.

Communicating globally with employees using the emergency notification system.

Providing badge and access management assistance to employees across the company portfolio.

Carrying out safety and security procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Monitoring closed circuit television systems.

Responding to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.

Responding to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms, emergency situations, first responder; secure ingress and egress situations.

Contributing to the development, implement and maintenance of company’s policies, standards, guidelines, processes, procedures and plans that will serve to govern and manage physical security for InnovAge. These may include: Security Risk/Vulnerability Assessments, Perimeter Security, Lighting and Security Signage, and Video Management System/Analytics, Access Control Systems, Visitor Management Systems, Intrusion Detection Alarms and Guard Force Operations.

Developing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, including management, other corporate groups and teams, business lines and regions to build consensus and leverage cross-functional resources to mitigate risks to the organization. 

Coordinating with relevant stakeholders and staff to enforce compliance with the developed policies and standards to help ensure consistent application of security practices across the organization and timely response to various security events to include close collaboration with leadership involved in cyber security incidents.

REQUIRED

Associates degree in criminal justice, homeland security or related field or a combination of related experience and education.  High School degree required.

Requires state issued driver’s license, personal transportation, good driving record and auto insurance as required by law and the ability to travel.

Requires Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) designation or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.

Minimum three years of Physical Security experience required.

Ideal candidate will have physical security experience in the healthcare industry at health delivery and/or insurance organizations.

Strong leadership and management skills and a minimum of six years’ experience supervising staff and managing a Security department.

In-depth knowledge on the design, implementation, and maintenance of security programs and service as well as conducting investigations.

Ability to perform in-depth investigations for safety and security incidents to include; fact-finding, interviewing, recommending corrective action measures, and compiling and reporting results to leadership.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience managing projects.

Superior customer service skills and orientation

Strong verbal and written (report) communications skills and presentation skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations

Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints

Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision

Strong judgment, problem-solving and crisis management skills.

Strong organizational skills and collaborative style.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, Visio and Microsoft Outlook software.

PREFERRED

Bachelors degree criminal justice, homeland security or related field

ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), preferred.

IAHSS Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), preferred.

Other Physical Security Management related license or certification.

Demonstrated subject matter expertise in physical security operations, with a clear understanding of risk management principles.

Demonstrated knowledge of security best practices including subject matter expertise for technical, physical and electronic protection systems.

High-level critical thinking and analytical skills, management experience and exceptional relationship management competencies to understand the impact and sensitivity of security issues.

An advanced and functional understanding of current and emerging safety and security industry standards, technologies and systems.

Ability to develop and project-manage full life-cycle implementations for core physical security programs, including creation of policies, standards, guideline, processes, procedures, plans and tactical deployment of security technologies.
