Job Description:

Essential Duties:

Application Planning and Implementation: Leads the planning, configuration, implementation, and management of enterprise business applications, primarily SaaS solutions, and hardware. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to optimize resource use and achieve project goals by developing and reviewing project management plans, schedules, and critical paths. Facilitates resolution of issues with a comprehensive perspective and creates training materials for major product launches and updates.

Application Support and User Assistance: Provides support to multiple lines of business and end users for complex application and business process issues, including but not limited to accounting and finance, payment processing, point-of-sale systems, registrations, memberships, permits, reservations, and record management.

Performance Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitors and ensures the availability and performance of systems; analyzes and resolves issues; conducts testing and oversight of activities; interprets product changes; investigates new technologies and customer needs; presents findings to management and technical leads; assesses system capacity and adjusts procedures to address interface problems; collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency, and successful application usage.

Compliance and Security Management: Reviews governing regulations to ensure effective program support; monitors, updates, and maintains existing software system interfaces to ensure proper data exchange; and implements best security practices in line with policies and procedures for securing and transitioning infrastructure systems and software into operational service.

Business Analysis and Process Improvement: Identifies business and workflow improvements to address challenges and needs; recommends design and solution options that enhance business value while minimizing risk. Utilizes analysis techniques such as diagrams, models, use cases, and user stories to define solution requirements and change strategies. Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate business value, risks, and impacts of changes. Identifies design and solution alternatives through benchmarking, market analysis, vendor assessment, and gap analysis, while producing business cases, requirements documentation, RFIs, and RFPs.

Vendor Management and Testing Coordination: Collaborates closely with application vendors to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues. Plans and coordinates testing for changes, upgrades, patches, new releases, and services to ensure systems operate effectively in current and future environments. Develops test plans to verify the functionality of modified programs and maintains the reporting and dashboard infrastructure.

Requirements and Stakeholder Engagement: Leads, manages, prioritizes, and tracks requirements throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment between designs and solutions. Evaluates the project and enterprise implications of requirements, process changes, workarounds, and new or emerging technologies. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria, test cases, and test scripts, while facilitating and supporting their participation in testing and approving solution requirements and designs.

User Engagement: Organizes and leads large application user groups to promote knowledge sharing, strategy discussions, and best practices for optimizing business applications and processes.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Job Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field of study or three years experience in administering and implementing enterprise applications. Requires a KS/MO driver’s license.

Preferred Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology and four years of hands-on experience in directly administering and implementing enterprise applications, including those for facility management, registration and enrollment, and point-of-sale functionalities.

Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions:

All employees may be called upon to assist other departments in an emergency.

The position will be required to lift or carry weights in the range of up to 25 pounds.

The position requires on-call availability on a rotating schedule and as required.

The position is weather essential and may be required to report to work during periods of inclement weather.

Travel is required approximately 25% of the time to support business units; travel is primarily local during the business day with occasional travel to participate in conferences.
