Comprehensive CareDominican offers emergency services and is a Certified Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. Dominican’s services include the only comprehensive Cancer Center in Santa Cruz County a Total Joint Replacement program and advanced neurological and endoscopic services. Dominican regularly receives ‘A’ grades for hospital safety from Leapfrog Group and has received national recognition for superior patient safety cardiac care and stroke treatment from Healthgrades a leading provider of comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.As Santa Cruz County’s heart attack (STEMI) receiving center Dominican Hospital provides cutting edge cardiac care. Responsibilities:
The Patient Service Representative will perform various functions in Home Health that support the clinical and daily operations of the agency. Responsible for answering and directing telephone calls and messages to the agency and coordinating calls with clinicians supervisors intake and office staff. Responsible for handling the electronic and paper medical and billing record; sorting faxing filing photocopying data charge entry medical supply ordering and charge entry patient admission packets education materials management and other tasks that support the operations of the agency.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
This position requires six months of health care experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education in an accredited medical training program
Course work in medical terminology
PREFERRED:
Post high school formal training.
Bilingual.
