Overview:

To monitor and maintain collateral documentation pertaining to security interests in collateral pledged against the bank's secured loans. Perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient manner to ensure excellent customer service and support to the lending staff.

Responsibilities:

Process new and renewed real estate loan packages. Review loan checklists to be sure required documents have been received, check for document discrepancies, index documents and export or save to cold storage system.  Set up collateral ticklers in tracking system.

Perfect the bank's lien on real estate loans, filing appropriate documents with the various counties.

Process collateral exception documents received through the mail or electronically. Review for document discrepancies, update collateral ticklers in tracking system, index documents and export or save to cold storage system. Review title policies and update appraisal information in the loan system. 

Input property tax information to LERETA’s web-based system for new first lien real estate loans that require tax monitoring. Research county websites for tax information for new loans not being tracked by LERETA (construction and short-term loans) and input to the collateral tracking system. 

Verify taxes are paid on an annual basis for loans that do not have tax monitoring through LERETA.

Process paid real estate loan files, prepare release of liens with lender approval, cancel flood certificates and tax monitoring as needed, generate paid letter to customer, mail appropriate documentation, update credit bureau reporting codes as needed and input release messages on the loan.

Cancel flood certificates and tax monitoring contracts on paid loans.

Process end of month reports for tracking various collateral processes.

Perform other duties within the department as requested by manager.

Qualifications:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

High school diploma or equivalent, associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

2 year working at a financial institution required.

2 to 3 years loan operations experience at a financial institution required.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Competent at learning new software.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate interest, compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills – Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Word. Proficiency with computer systems required.
