Farringdon, Greater London, United Kingdom
Engineering
Immediate Start
£55k - £70k Annual
Full-Time
We are currently partnered with one of London's leading Structural Engineering consultancies as they look to add an Associate Structural Engineer to their team.

They have a vast experience in refurbishment projects, which include commercial as well as residential buildings. In addition, their experience extends in the design of new build structures, as well as design of specialist structural elements including structural glass.

We are looking to hear from candidates at senior level looking to take the next step, or a candidate already working at associate level who maybe wants to move somewhere with greater autonomy and professional opportunities.

To be considered as a potential Associate, candidates should be Chartered. It may be acceptable that a Senior Engineer who has their exam taking place in the near future would also be considered for a role - although becoming an associate will be based, in part, on successfully becoming chartered.

Candidates should have at least six or seven years relevant experience within a similar environment (with similar design experience as they will be exposed to at the consultancy), including:

1. Detailed design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry and timber building structures
2. Design of glass structures
3. Structural steelwork connection design and detailing
4. Temporary works design
5. Letter and report writing
6. Site inspection and surveys

Associates will be expected to lead projects, be client facing, have a good understanding of fee proposals and invoicing, and be able to lead a small team.

Eventually winning your own work will lead to further possibilities within the organisation, including gaining from the associates bonus scheme, and having the possibility of becoming a partner.

Company benefits include 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a contributory pension (5% employee, 5% Company), private medical insurance, income protection, life insurance, accident insurance, an employee assistance programme, and paid professional subscriptions.

This is a unique opportunity that is not to be missed. If you think your experience matches up well, please click apply or reach out to Jamie Will at Calibre Search.

Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age. We act as both an employment agency and employment business
