Job Title: Sonographer
Location: Greenville, SC
Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 (Dependent on experience)
Relocation: Possible relocation assistance, to be discussed at the interview
Licensure Reimbursement: State licensure reimbursement after 90 days of employment
Shift: Weekend help needed (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon, 3 X 10-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirements: half-days on Saturdays
Job Overview:
As a Mobile Ultrasound Sonographer, you will provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services primarily in nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and other locations. You will work independently, traveling by automobile to various regions to perform exams as ordered by physicians. This position requires the ability to manage caseloads, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mobile ultrasound services, including potential prison exams.
Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images using portable sonographic equipment.
Digitally process and send ultrasound exams to a radiologist for interpretation.
Verify accuracy of physician orders and patient identification before performing exams.
Communicate efficiently with dispatch, peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
Maintain and care for sonographic equipment; report malfunctions immediately.
Respond to urgent communications within 15 minutes.
Follow safety and infection control protocols, including annual TB screening.
Document and scan billing and exam-related paperwork daily.
Participate in training new technologists as required.
Qualifications:
Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound.
Must be Vascular and General Certified (ARDMS: RVT & AB, CCI: RVS, or ARRT: R.T.(VS)) (Required).
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.
Maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record.
COVID-19 vaccination required or documentation for exemption.
Ability to perform basic smartphone and computer tasks (e.g., scanning, emailing documents).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Demands:
Lifting equipment bags weighing 18-20 pounds in and out of vehicles and wheeled carts.
Pulling wheeled carts for up to 250 feet with sustained force of 5-8 pounds.
