Position: Apprentice Electrician

Locations: Glasgow

Salary: £23,740

Hours: 42 Hours per week

We are advertising this Electrical Apprentice role on behalf of our client CBES (City Facilities Management). City were established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.

City has a unique business model and for over 30 years has provided leading maintenance, engineering, technical procurement & support in dedicated partnerships with National Blue Chip companies. City also has a global presence with offices in the UK, Europe, North America, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

Job Purpose:

CBES (City Holdings) have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who aspires to develop their career as an Electrician, To assist and support Electrical installation and maintenance works alongside the Electrical team whilst operating in compliance with company policy and procedure.

Key Accountabilities:

* Representing the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.

* Assist and support the delivery of Electrical installation and maintenance works on site in compliance with the agreed project specification and within agreed timescales.

* Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all colleagues and sub-contractors follow safe systems of work on site.

* Striving to achieve snag free completion and where snagging occurs to ensure it is resolved within 6 working days.

* Identification and resolution of repair, maintenance and installation issues that may affect project delivery.

* Ensuring company vehicle (where provided) is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.

* Comply with any other reasonable management instruction.

* Achieve required standard of academic performance (Apprentice college course)

Qualifications/ Qualities required:

* Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level as a minimum. 5 GCSE Grade C or above including Maths, English and a minimum of one science subject.

* Able to work efficiently on your own or part of a team.

* Excellent communicator (both written and verbally)

* Speed and efficiency of work

* Ability to work at heights

* Maintenance of Health and Safety policy.

* Enthusiasm for problem solving

Knowledge, Skills + Abilities:

* Pre-apprenticeship course (desirable)

* ECS Skill card - site operative grade (desirable)

* Ability to respond well to competing priorities and demands including time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

* Adaptable and analytical approach to tasks and problem solving.

* Full (UK) drivers licence.

* ·Flexible approach to working hours

You will be highly motivated with a commitment to your study and development and be able to demonstrate great communication and interpersonal skills.
