Fetch is seeking a talented Emergency Technician to join our team!

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers, a privately-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital that offers specialized veterinary services to clients and referring veterinarians in Brandon, Florida, is seeking a skilled Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be working alongside a dedicated team of professionals who love animals, and you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of every pet and pet owner that walks through our doors. Responsibilities

Assist with the triage, stabilization, and medical treatment of emergency patients under the direction of a veterinarian

Perform diagnostic tests, such as blood work and radiographs, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning

Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian

Maintain thorough and accurate medical records for each patient

Monitor patients during hospitalization and report changes in condition to the veterinary staff

Communicate patient treatment plans and instructions to pet owners

Provide emotional support and education to pet owners during difficult and stressful times

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred

Previous experience as a Emergency Technician is preferred

Excellent technical skills and attention to detail

Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Flexibility with work schedule, including availability for on-call, weekend shifts ad holidays
