Ripple Effect is seeking a proactive and organized Senior Communication Associate/Events Coordinator with governmental, non-profit, and/or corporate event-planning experience to join Ripple Effect's Communication and Outreach Division. This position will use a combination of your skills in events management, including logistics, planning and project management, programming, measurement, client relations, and communications. Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate high-visibility tasks to lead a large range of events across multiple clients. Management responsibilities include but are not limited to, initial planning, logistics, vendor management, implementation, tracking progress on task deliverables, timelines, quality, and final event measurement reporting.
Participate in client meetings, including creating agendas and slide development, facilitating meetings, taking notes, and tracking action items.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and vendors.
Manage all components of the event's lifecycle (pre-, day-of, and post-event) including building and managing event budgets, creating and monitoring registration sites, uploading content on websites, drafting event-related emails, plans, and social media, developing vendor RFPs, sourcing, negotiating, and selecting vendors, securing room blooks, making travel arrangements, responding to attendee and client questions, providing day-of support, reviewing and analyzing survey responses, drafting and reviewing meeting summaries, and reconciling invoices.
Manage a shared conferences email box and respond to event attendees’ questions.
Prepare, edit, compile, and distribute conference materials such as digital or hard copy program books, agenda, briefing materials, PowerPoints, travel and hotel information, etc.
Prepare post-event reports including event summaries, key insights and take-aways, and event metrics.
Contribute to communications outreach strategies and audience-specific tactical implementation plans.
Create social media promotional campaign timeline and develop content for events and other initiatives.
Build monthly and quarterly content plans, email marketing campaigns, and newsletters.
Perform other duties related to the core functions of the role.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
Completed Bachelor's degree
6 or more years of professional experience
4 years of relevant communications task coordination and/or events management experience
Basic Requirements
Relevant experience leading governmental, non-profit, and/or corporate event planning initiatives
Relevant experience managing teams and projects, including assigning and tracking assignments and helping ensure deliverables are met
Relevant experience developing communications content and ability to provide editorial review, including familiarity with style and branding guidelines and ability to write in a range of voices, styles, and formats
Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture.
Experience creating and adhering to event planning tools
Experience running in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills for face-to-face interactions with clients, co-workers, and leadership and preparing high quality, client-ready deliverables
Ability to learn quickly and condense complex information from diverse sources into concise, attractive, and user-friendly formats
Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of web-based systems such as SharePoint and Teams
