VadaTech is looking for a Jr. Production Planner who is responsible for coordinating and planning the production schedule of goods or services within a manufacturing or production environment. The primary goal is to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, and per quality standards. The job description for a Jr. Production Planner typically includes the following responsibilities:

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Production Scheduling: Help develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished goods are available to meet production requirements.

Demand Forecasting: Review open sales orders and backlog to forecast product demand, enabling effective production planning.

Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to coordinate the flow of materials and information throughout production.

Capacity Planning: Assist in assessing production capacity and adjusting schedules to meet production targets.

Problem Resolution: Help identify and promptly address production issues, such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns, to minimize disruptions.

Communication: Effectively communicate production schedules, changes, and priorities to relevant stakeholders within the organization.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Proven experience in production planning or a similar role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.

Familiarity with production planning software and tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Familiarity with inventory management systems.

Knowledge of quality control processes.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel

Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Required Competencies

Organizational skills

Communication Proficiency: oral and written.

Ability to work independently.

High ethical conduct

Ability to multitask while producing quality output.

Read or write and interpret data.

Physical Demands

Sitting and standing for long hours

Ability to move around the facility, climb stairs as necessary, bend down and reach up.

Frequently communicate with others. Must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.

Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Cognitive Requirements

Read or write and interpret data, computer systems/programs.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
