Direct Counsel has partnered with a premier, internationally recognized law firm in their search for a junior to mid level associate to support our Sacramento office’s Trust and Estate Litigation practice group. This group has extensive experience representing individual, professional, and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the full panoply of contested Trust and Estate matters.
In this role, you will be assisting with all aspects of litigation, including drafting of petitions, drafting discovery, taking depositions, making court appearances and trial. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years business litigation experience with a strong interest in trust and estate litigation. Prior experience working in this specific practice area (trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship, and elder abuse litigation) is a huge plus. Candidates should also be licensed to practice in California, have strong writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
Requirements
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the CA bar
2+ years business litigation experience with a strong interest in trust and estate litigation
Prior experience with trust, estate, conservatorship, guardianship, and elder abuse litigation is a huge plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior
Benefits
The expected annual pay range for this position is $130,000 to $185,000, with bonus potential of up to $80k.
