This vital leadership role involves overseeing the Burn Trauma Intensive Care Unit, where you will ensure the delivery of specialized, high-quality care to critically injured patients. In this position, you will manage the nursing staff, coordinate multidisciplinary care with medical teams, and uphold compliance with clinical protocols. You will play a crucial role in fostering a compassionate environment, staffing excellence, and mentoring nursing professionals in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
Oversee the operations of the Burn Trauma ICU, ensuring quality patient care and safety standards.
Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, supporting their continued education and professional growth.
Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies for improvement within the unit.
Manage staff scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation effectively.
Promote teamwork and a positive environment among all staff and departments.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements to be Considered:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of acute care experience as an RN in the BURN or Trauma ICU
Must have a minimum of 2 years of acute care BURN or Trauma ICU RN Leadership experience in the ICU
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required
A valid Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
BLS/ACLS certifications are required
