In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the Surgical Services department, ensuring that exceptional patient care and safety standards are met across all surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include the management and development of nursing staff, coordinating surgical teams, and implementing best practices in surgical care. This role is crucial in driving quality improvement initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment to deliver exemplary surgical services.
Responsibilities
Direct the operations of the Surgical Services department, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure effective surgical protocols are established and maintained.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and quality improvement measures.
Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, promoting continuous professional development.
Monitor surgical performance metrics and implement initiatives for improvement.
Manage department budgets, staffing, and resource allocation efficiently.
Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements to be Considered:
A Minimum of 3 YEARS OF RECENT ACUTE CARE Manager OPERATING ROOM RN experience is required.
MSN IS REQUIRED
Valid TX or multi-state RN compact license
Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred
