Job Description

Our thriving, Dams team in Arizona is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the growing team in our Tucson AZ office. AECOM’s Global Water Team is involved in high profile, industry leading infrastructure projects in the US and overseas, including a variety of significant projects for Local and National Governments, Water Authorities, and many other clients. We work on projects through all stages from feasibility through design, construction, operation, maintenance, and asset management.

Some of the key responsibilities of the position are expected to include:

Contribute to the civil design of flood control, mining, and closure projects such as leach stockpiles, evaporation ponds, tailing facilities, flood control dams, and CCR closures.  Regional workshare projects provide opportunity for diverse projects, professional growth, and networking through the company.

Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS software), quantity/cost estimates, and alternative assessments.

Integrate civil design with results from geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs.

The Tucson Dams Engineering team brings together the skills of project managers, civil engineers, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, numerical modelers, and a wide range of related disciplines.  We provide our clients with technically innovative, integrated, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions, ranging from high profile infrastructure programs through locally significant projects that make a real difference to the communities we live in and serve.  AECOM works to imagine a better solution and to deliver it.

You will be joining a dynamic local Department of high performing engineers ranging in experience from apprentice to director level, as part of a larger Regional Water Resources Engineering team.
