Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a bright and highly motivated Engineer for employment in our Water Business Line based out of our Bloomfield, NJ office. This is a project engineering position to assist and support flood resilience and stormwater study and civil design projects. The position will work with Project Managers on project Planning, Design, Procurement and Delivery. Field visits to project sites within the NY/ NJ Metro area will be required.
This position is expected to begin in May or June 2025.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, reports, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software to evaluate stormwater and riverine flood conditions.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Collaborate and work with a diverse and progressive team.
Schedule and budget expectations.
