Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented Sports Practice Architecture Designer for immediate employment in our New York, NY office.
Our Sports studio is an established leader in the market with over three decades of success. This large practice focuses it’s work on everything from performance and development facilities to primary competition venues, ranging anywhere from small collegiate clients to the largest of professional leagues and franchises. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.
Our Buildings + Places Business Line embodies the spirit of a nimble, fully integrated design firm within a fully global infrastructure organization. Our culture is dynamic, offering autonomy and the feel of a smaller, collaborative studio backed by the resources of a large interdisciplinary firm. Services include architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism, and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create.
Responsibilities
Working closely with a Senior Project Designer, independently prepare and present client-focused design solutions to project team members.
Preparing, reviewing, and approving models and drawings during all design phases.
In collaboration with a Project Architect, perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
May coordinate and collaborate activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Supporting the pursuit of new professional and collegiate sports projects.
May perform as a subject matter expert on emerging architectural and design technologies and processes.
