Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Cultural Resources Specialist & Field Technician |  [NPS(phone number removed)] Key Personnel | Field Engineer Labor Category - STD Level Non-Exempt Professional aligned under services related to NAICS: (phone number removed) located Prince William County, Virginia supporting The National Park Service oversees the preservation of national parks and historic sites.

Seeking Cultural Resources Specialist & Field Technician candidates with with relevant Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Sector Clients such as NPS.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Archeological Study (Cultural Resources Specialist/Field Technician) in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as National Park Service (NPS) | Department of the Interior Located In Prince William County, Virginia and across the  Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Cultural Resources Specialist & Field Technician

Conduct field surveys and excavations to identify and document cultural resources and archaeological sites.

Assist in recording and documenting fieldwork, including taking notes, photographs, and preparing preliminary analyses of findings.

Follow guidelines for fieldwork and site access as outlined in the project schedule and communicate with the park POC for site visits.

Prepare and contribute to the End of Fieldwork Summary and support the creation of the Phase I Archaeological Survey Report.

Ensure all artifacts and field notes are cataloged and prepared to meet NPS curatorial standards.

Support the delivery of final artifact catalog and documentation within 300 days of start.
