Business Unit Description:

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.

Responsibilities:

As a Human Resources Business Partner at 8th Avenue, you will execute the HR strategy and programs that will build capability and increase organizational effectiveness. You will be a trusted and credible HR partner to business leaders to strengthen them as a leader, coach, and manager. This individual will provide strategic partnership to C-Suite Executives, functional leadership teams, and corporate shared services while supporting activities across the enterprise. The incumbent will be a key member of the HR leadership team, reporting directly to the Sr. Director, HR Corporate to deliver critical HR programs and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with business and HR leaders to develop and implement people strategies and solutions that support 8th Avenue and people-specific objectives

Collaborate closely with stakeholders as a thought leader, change agent, and solutions focused partner.

Develop collaborative, influential internal and external relationships with people leaders as well as other critical stakeholders to gather information, feedback, support and necessary resources to develop and execute ER strategies and programs.

Serve as the face of HR, supporting and advising on daily HR needs related to talent acquisition, compensation/benefits, learning and development, leadership coaching, talent process and employee relations.

Execute operational transactions in the various HR systems and provide day-to-day support for employees, responding to queries relating to HR.

Support employee relations matters and conduct investigations and follow up as needed.

Support talent acquisition manager and business leaders in the selection of key talent

Lead the execution of talent processes through proper onboarding, succession planning, performance management, training, and development programs and offboarding processes.

Partner and collaborate with HR team members to implement and reinforce company programs and processes.

Remain current with changes in human resources and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies.

Exercise sound judgment in support of business decisions.

Build and foster an inclusive and diverse culture aligned with 8th Avenue’s vision, mission and values.

Other duties as assigned by management and or senior leadership.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Forges effective trusted advisor relationships by combining expertise with crisp, candid, and energetic executive presence.

Demonstrates execution edge that addresses root cause and crucial outcomes while managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors’ Degree (BA/BS) from a four (4) year college or university in Human Resources Management, Business or other related field of study, along with seven (7) years of experience in increasingly responsible Human Resources roles or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3+ years of people management experience.

Experience in using and interpreting data analytics.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Certification / Licenses:

Must posses a valid U.S. Driver’s License

PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP Certification (desired).

Physical Requirements:

This position is regularly required to communicate with others, both oral and written.

This position is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

This position may travel up to 5% of the time.
