Overview:

This position will function at the entry level and will be expected to continually increase knowledge of the line of business. This position will provide technical guidance and support to the key account segment of customers and economic development prospects across a wide range of topics including regulatory, rates, billing, power quality, and account services. This position will monitor, analyze, and project Key Account, National Account, and Economic growth activities and trends. Provides support for business decisions.

Position could be located in Louisville or Lexington, KY.  

Responsibilities:

Solves business problems. Identifies, analyzes, compiles and prepares information used to document root-cause analysis related to internal and external customers, regulatory and governmental agency inquiries.

Formulates this information into recommendations.

Provides guidance and analytics on electric and gas tariffs, rates, and regulations.

Performs rate calculations and analysis to ensure rate designations are in accordance with regulatory filings and Sarbanes Oxley controls.

Provides support to the Business Services team on technologies and solutions to improve customer needs and wants (i.e., LED conversion, EV and solar requests, energy and demand controls, etc.).

Assists the key account and economic development managers with the servicing of customers and accounts through the use of database management and analysis. (i.e., CCS and Cloud based CRM).

Investigates automated database alerts, takes appropriate action as needed, and follows-up with the responsible Key Account Manager.

Assist in investigates billing inquiries, issues and errors and works with internal departments to reconcile in accordance with regulatory or company policies.

Assist in coordinating and managing GIS capabilities for use in presentations, marketing materials & online site marketing tools.

Assists economic development in RFI responses, including sites, research, coordination with communities, follow-up and tracking.

Monitors and manages Corp. Comm communications while monitoring business attraction & community relations.

Thinks innovatively.

Assists in driving data-supported decision making through research and application of data science principles and techniques.

Supports the organization and on benchmarking activities managed. Seeks out and recommends opportunities to benchmark performance with appropriate entities from within and outside the industry and coordinates the associated data gathering process.

Assists in coordinating communication of benchmarking results and sharing of identified best practices.

Assists with gathering, analyzing and compiling of data used to aid in recommending process improvements that assist in meeting or exceeding of operational and financial targets.

Assists the development, compilation, maintenance, analysis and reporting of performance related data including scorecards, key performance indicators and operating reports.

Proactively identifies potential customer situations, capabilities and needs.

Primary proponent of database management and analysis (i.e., CCS & Cloud based CRM).

With guidance and editing, communicate clearly and strategically to all levels of the company (in oral presentations, written reports, and emails).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, or related disciplines required. Fundamental analytical skills and the demonstrated use of MS Excel are required. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of database applications.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to analyze information, isolate key issues, and demonstrate logical thought and decisions making. Display intellectual curiosity and desire to solve problems. Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge or experience with data analysis programming languages and data processing techniques (i.e., CCS and Cloud based CRM). Basic knowledge of statistical techniques. Prior experience with SharePoint and flowcharts. Ability to multi-task. Must be a self-starter and able to deal effectively with conflict and be able to reach a consensus. Ability to work with deadlines efficiently and with high quality while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

WORK CONDITIONS

Normal office environment.
