Be the Legacy is an internship program and a valuable opportunity for individuals to gain practical work experience in the AEC industry while earning a competitive hourly wage. Offering students, the chance to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world situations, providing a bridge between academic learning and professional practice. Our hands-on learning experience will develop essential skills, build a professional network, and provide insights into your chosen career path. Come intern with us at our Kansas City location where you will support Civil Design! Many of our interns enjoy their time at Lamp Rynearson so much they become full-time employees.

What you need:

• Current engineering student at an accredited college or university in a civil, environmental or construction management program.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

You bring to the team:

• Pursuing a degree in engineering.

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry and financial functions.

• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Word and Excel.

• Passion for public infrastructure projects.

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Potential for assisting on-site construction observation work.

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
