Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Pharmacy Automation Lead to join our PharmScript team within our Floor Technician department. As a Pharmacy Automation Manager, you ensure that all automotive machinery is fully functioning and are used properly. The ideal candidate is a people person who enjoys troubleshooting and resolving problems and is dedicated to helping customers. For you, no task feels too small and no challenge impossible. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Maintains on a day-to-day basis the pharmacy automated dispensing equipment, inventory, related equipment, and databases
Oversee technicians ensure that company protocol and safety protocol are followed when using automation machinery, train new employees, and ensure production forms are complete each shift
Performs quality assurance monitoring, generates, and reviews reports
Coordinates the installation and replacement of equipment
Participates in the planning and implementation of new programs and activities
Performs education and communicates with staff regarding the use of automation technology
Orders and measures pills for new canisters
Run NDC change report (deactivate non-robot NDCs)
Inform pharmacists when printing zones need changing on a robot NDC
Move drugs from robot to prepack if needed
Assist with the schedule to ensure there is robot coverage
Assists on inventory day coming in at 5 am
Other duties set by management
Qualifications:
Minimum three years experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
Two years of pharmacy automation dispensing equipment function and database maintenance required
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
