Overview:

Operates within a crew to clean, repair, and maintain the carpets and floors in all areas of the casino including but not limited to the main floor, stairways, administrative offices, dining areas, Table Games pits, Poker area, Bingo, bathrooms, Team Member lounge and locker rooms. The Custodial Technician may also be assigned the following facilities maintenance duties: cleaning outdoor facilities, furniture upholstery repair, pool maintenance, ceiling tile cleaning, air duct cleaning and/or box bailing.

Responsibilities:

Preps carpet, floors, carpet machinery, floor machinery and related chemicals and equipment for cleaning.

Cleans carpets in assigned area using carpet extractor machinery to remove all dirt, stains, chewing gum, etc.

Cleans, waxes and buffs tile and vinyl floors in assigned sections to remove all dirt, scuff marks, grime, etc.

Sorts garbage for recyclable items.

Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs carpet extractor machinery, power sweepers, vacuum cleaners, and other cleaning equipment.

Cleans ceiling tiles and heating ducts.

Reads blueprints to properly set-up facilities for events.

Sets-up and breaks-down facilities for Bingo, concerts, and other promotions.

Operates high-pressure washers, box bailers, leaf blowers, scissor lifts and other equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with department standards.

Treats stains on concrete and works with high pressure water.

Removes furniture, blockades, shuts down, sets up caution cones and otherwise protects other Team Members and casino guests from the work area until cleaning process is done. Coordinates the closing of areas with Casino Operations.

Notifies a supervisor when any unsafe, unsanitary, or defective condition is detected.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Certificate.

Two years prior experience in a facilities department like that of medium to large Enterprises.

Basic mechanical ability is required.

Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.

Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Native American hiring preference applies.
