Position Overview:
Navistar has a great opportunity for an Sr. Executive Assistant to support the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Commercial Operations and the EVP of Service Solutions, reporting to the EVP of Service Solutions.
The individual will be responsible for performing a wide array of administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound decision making along with a high level of professionalism.
The successful candidate is someone who can address problems independently and apply both strategic and execution-oriented thinking while anticipating executive needs in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
This position will be based at our corporate headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
Protect Navistar’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Structures, organizes, and expedites the activities and workflow of the supported executives.
Prioritize schedules, develops, and initiates a system of follow-up for projects, meetings, and issues to assure the efficient and effective management of the supported executives.
Maintain and manage executive calendar and some email inboxes
Schedule meetings and resolve conflicts
Coordinate travel arrangements
Organize and may attend executive staff meetings, take meeting minutes, and distribute action items to attendees
Plan and support organizational events and logistics
Assist with arrangements for visitors to our Lisle headquarters
Coordinate IT issue resolution
Complete and manage expense reports and submit them in a timely manner with complete accuracy
Quickly identify critical issues and navigate priorities based on last minute changes
Assist and coordinate special projects
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy, and reprioritize as needed
Manage third party requisitions
Works with the EVP’s direct reports to gather any information needed by the executive and compiles information for review
Supports the direct reports to the EVP as needed
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of executive administrative experience
OR
Master’s degree and no experience
OR
At least 4 years of executive administrative experience
Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
