Overview:

The Clinic Radiology Tech performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for procedures as required.

The Clinic Radiology Tech reports directly to the Clinic Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, providing protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.

2. Operates equipment as directed, with prescribed safety standards.

3. Maintains adequate records as directed.

4. Monitors equipment maintenance.

5. Prepares exam rooms and takes patient histories and vital sign.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  a.) Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA approved school.

2. Licensure/Certification:

  a.) Meets the requirements for registry by the ARRT.

3. Work Experience:

  a.) Previous medical office experience preferred.
