Overview:
This is a temporary position that will last a period of approximately 3 to 6 months
What You Will Do
The Bakery Procurement Coordinator performs ingredient procurement and inventory leveling for the Production Bakery facility. This position is the key decision maker for item orders, including quantities and ship dates, based off production orders. The Bakery Procurement Coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships with vendors and acting as a representative of Raley’s. This classification requires knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of inventory management as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:
How You will Make a Difference
Maintains ingredients and supply inventory levels for Production Bakery to ensure production goals are met.
Reviews and analyzes production schedule and recipes to determine Purchase Order needs.
Prepares Purchase Orders, ensures accurate costs of products/materials and maintains up-to-date pricing catalog library.
Assesses shelf life of products when determining timing of orders and schedules delivery appointments.
Responsible for data management and maintains up-to-date bakery procurement information.
Updates physical and digital files of materials, inventories, deliveries and ingredient changes.
Prepares ad hoc reports of historical orders to assist with inventory planning, upon request.
Provides frequent status updates to leader regarding inventory levels and issues that need escalation.
Performs daily audits of BOLs, sales orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
Fosters collaborative relationships with internal business partners and suppliers to ensure product availability, consistency of supply and supplier performance management.
Participates in reoccurring meetings with suppliers.
Contacts current and new vendors to source and negotiate cost-efficient raw materials.
Obtains Service Agreement(s) and Proof of Insurance from suppliers.
Responds to questions from internal and external contacts.
Prepares raw material bid proposals and contracts to ensure the most cost-efficient materials are sourced.
Maintains supplier scorecard and performance KPI tracking and reporting to suppliers.
Administrative support including, faxing, photocopying, as well as written, telephone and email correspondence with business partners.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or related field and a minimum of one (1) year experience in inventory management or procurement and two (2) or more years in an office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge
Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of inventory management.
Strong computer skills and proficiency MS Office Suite.
Strong SAP knowledge and experience.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Analytical skills for making sound business decisions.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Detail oriented and accurate.
Ability to organize, prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with all business partners.
