We are seeking a skilled, committed, and passionate culinary professional for the position of Kitchen Utility at the Belgrove Resort. The successful candidate operates the dishwashing machine, keeps the kitchen and other areas of the dining room in a clean and orderly condition. Assists in any other area of the dining room and hotel as directed.
The primary responsibilities for the Kitchen Utility include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the dish washing machine.
Responsible for washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen, and banquet department.
Responsible for breakdown of all boxes, emptying trash containers into the dumpster and cleaning all containers.
Clean walls in kitchen as appropriate, especially in dish room areas. Cleans floor mats, sweeps, and mops the entire kitchen floor daily. Assists in cleaning ovens and refrigerators.
Ensures that the dish machine is reading at the appropriate temperature so that all items will be properly sanitized.
Ensures that the floor is kept dry and free of debris.
Assists with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items away.
Able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds, stock items on shelves above eye level and stand for 8 consecutive hours.
Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and life safety procedures and follows all key control procedures.
Always provides the highest quality of service to guests.
Always wear proper uniform and name tag in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines.
Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
Must have at least one (1) or more years of related culinary experience, with experience in Hospitality preferred. Hot line experience required.
Must have flexible night and weekend availability to fulfill this role.
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. A second language is desirable.
