The Garland Team is seeking Maintenance Technician for the first(1st).

Major Position Responsibilities:
Position: Sr. Specialist - Maintenance Technician
Shift: First (1st)
Pay: $31.13 hourly
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Possess and demonstrate the ability to work alone and with others
Ability to perform work as required on hydraulic presses, ovens and all other equipment
Capability of learning use of standard measuring equipment as required by job duties
Must be capable of following simple work instructions and be willing to work in multiple areas as required
Ability to use small hand tools and able to operate a forklift when required
Ability to learn the use of all gages, special tools and instruments required to related job tasks
Basic computer skills and good communication skills
Work under general supervision with instruction given for routine work and detailed instruction given for new lines of work or special assignments
Must be able to meet all safety requirements as defined by the JHAs
Must be able to identify electrical and control wire color coding
Other duties, as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Qualifications:
Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience in industrial maintenance preferred
Knowledgeable in National Electric code and other NFPA regulations
Industrial and commercial power systems (both in trouble shooting and installation aspects)
Knowledge in the Relay Ladder Diagram logic as applied to panel wiring and trouble shooting
Ability to recognize safety hazards as applied to the handling of medium to high voltage power systems
Knowledge in industrial hydraulic systems and troubleshooting
Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic schematics and blueprints
Ability to identify a problem, either mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical
Basic knowledge on thermal control systems, such as the flame monitoring, and temperature control systems
Must be able to perform preventive maintenance and identify future problems
Must be able to perform maintenance tasks in all areas of the plant (i.e. confined spaces, elevated areas, etc.)
Knowledge in VFD, Soft starts, etc.
Ability and knowledge of fabricating metal parts by use of torch cutting and welding
Ability and knowledge of repairs and operations to equipment
Understand and apply lubrication applications and specifications
Must have aptitude in trouble shooting of mechanical machinery and devices
Must have:
Industrial Oven Exp. and Thermal specialties
Work Environment:
Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
High paced production environment to meet standards.
