Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, technical, and electrical issues throughout the facility, ensuring the efficient operation of all plant equipment.

Perform timely repairs and preventative maintenance on various machinery, including mixing and extruding systems, packaging machines, metal detectors, sealers, motors, pumps, and conveying equipment.

Troubleshoot a mix of automated and non-automated production equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems in a fast-paced environment.

Utilize problem-solving skills to quickly assess, analyze, and address complex issues with minimal guidance and varying degrees of ambiguity.

Practice self-management, displaying strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of plant personnel.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required to meet the needs of the facility.

Act as a technical resource, providing guidance and support to operations personnel.

Work as part of a team, contributing to a positive work environment and partnering effectively with both internal and external resources.

Identify root causes of issues, implementing solutions that address underlying problems.

Follow instructions in standard work orders, performing routine and repetitive tasks accurately and thoroughly.

Conduct work safely, adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, identifying and addressing any EHS concerns.

Maintain adherence to all Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards, reporting and correcting any FSQ issues within the plant.

Respond promptly to maintenance calls and work orders, assisting operations in improving efficiencies with a positive attitude and a teaching mentality.

Demonstrate innovation and the ability to multi-task, shifting priorities quickly while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic environment.

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and reliability enhancements within the plant.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

2-year Technical Trade school certification, military certifications, vocational training, and/or Journeyman License preferred.

2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including operating, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment such as pumps, mechanical drives, lubrication systems, fasteners, piping, motors, pneumatics, sensors, and automatic valves.

Previous experience in the food industry is a plus.

Practical experience with power tools and maintenance shop equipment.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.

Proficiency in using technical manuals and precision measurement tools.

Experience working with work orders and web-based computer applications.

Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours and to lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.

Must be comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights, performing overhead tasks, working in confined spaces, and operating in very hot or very cool environments.

Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively while performing job duties that require physical activity, such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.

Available Shifts:

Sundays through Wednesdays: Sundays 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Mondays through Wednesdays 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
