Purpose

To contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the Warehouse, and deliver orders on time and in full in a professional and customer-friendly manner contributing to our strategy of being ‘Best Local Merchant’ as recognised by our customers

Accountabilities

OPERATIONAL COMPLIANCE

* Receive and Check incoming products against the Proof of Delivery, complete documentation (on-line and manual) as required and report damaged or missing products to Branch Manager Ensure products are put away and stored in the appropriate area of the Warehouse Pick products to customer orders, or for inter-branch transfers.

* Always ensure that you are operating in accordance with our safety standards, completing complete risk assessments and other safety processes and undertaking safety training as required for your role/branch.

* Conduct necessary vehicle maintenance and safety checks, reporting any issues to the Transport Supervisor or your line manager Participate in stock management process and PPI, and other warehouse activities as required.

* Always observe and ensure compliance to warehouse environment and safety standards, ensuring that you keep delivery vehicles and operational areas clean, tidy and safe Keep yourself up-to-date with any legislation and training requirement for your role, including licence requirements Keep yourself up-to-date with new product knowledge

CUSTOMER OR INTER-BRANCH DELIVERIES

* Load vehicles in accordance with H&S policies and procedures in preparation of delivery to customer.

* Deliver and unload product delivery at customer premises, observing all health & safety requirements.

* Ensure all delivery processes are completed, including the usage of DMS. Ensure usage and compliance with the MDT system for all deliveries Inform customers in advance of delivery to highlight problems and indicate approximate delivery time

* Operating across the family branches to assist with holiday or absence cover Ensuring customers (both internal and external) receive the highest standard of customer services at all times.

* Ensuring customers have everything they need, and if additional products are required, ensuring these are communicated to the relevant branch Undertake other ad-hoc duties requested by your manager in relation to the operations of the hub or branch, including basic sales.

Qualifications / Technical Skills

* Clean driving license at appropriate ATO FLT license IT literate and digitally aware

Experience and Knowledge

Driving and delivery experience, Warehouse experience advantageous but not essential Strong customer service skills, Strong teamwork ethos, Knowledge of heating/plumbing industry could be advantageous The ability to be quick in action and mind. Embracing change and being an active part of it. Build an Open & Engaging Culture Creating and open, collaborative environment. Accepting differences, being open to take both positive or negative feedback, being open to try new ways of working and collaborating. Creating an open and engaging environment for colleagues and customers alike. Background in operation and logistics environment Excellent customer service skills FLT licence would be advantageous

Qualifications / Technical Skills

Strong/proven levels of warehouse management, commercial acumen, customer service skills and leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring Acceptable level of numerical and literacy Comfortable with the use of technology and relevant computer systems to the role
