TXM Recruit is working in partnership with a specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. They are expanding and are looking for Senior Planner in London with experience to plan interior fit out projects on a permanent basis with a salary up to £100,000 DOE.
Your duties will consist of maintaining effective planning and programming systems on all projects. Responsible for establishing, recording and reporting on progress of works through the life cycle of projects.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Estimating team with the preparation of tenderprograms and Method Statements.
* To provide programmes for job estimations highlighting any constraints and threats to completion timetable.
* In conjunction with the project team prepare comprehensive planning information on new project start ups, including the sequence of operations and dependencies (Construction Programme), resource, procurement and preconstruction requirements.
* Update current project programmes and plans with site feedback on daily, weekly or monthly basis.
* Advise project team of critical changes to priorities and critical threats. Advise action or adjustments required to maintain targets.
* Control and record programme revisions.
* Provide regular evaluation and commentary of progress to the Senior Management Team.
* Identify techniques to improve estimating, planning and cost control on existing and future projects.
* Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individual’s sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency
Experience/Qualifications
* Construction related qualification
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Extensive programming experience on new build and interior fit out type projects and a varied technical knowledge of the construction process.
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills
* Previous experience of ASTA, Primavera P6, Primavera Contractor or MS Project
* Ability to plan and organise workload
* Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
