Commercial manager/ Civils
CSR are currently working with a large Building & Civil Engineering contractor to recruit for a Commercial Manager to work on a bespoke projects with values in excess of £100M.
Responsibilities
As the Commercial Manager you will take lead on all commercial aspects of the project. You will provide support, advice and be heavily involved in the decision making throughout the project.
Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for all budgets
Be involved in procurement of Sub-contractors and prepare all Sub-contractors related documents
Prepare all valuations and final accounts
Attend meeting when required
Plan, allocate and evaluate all work being carried out by delegated individuals
Produce and present all monthly costs, values and budgets on the project
Advise on a range of legal and contractual issues and identify and manage any commercial risks
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
The person
To be considered for this role you must be degree qualified (QS/ Commercial Management) with a minimum of 5+ years ‘experience. This role is ideal for someone who has worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor and wishing to further a career in a more Senior role.
Construction experience, main contracting experience is desirable but not essential.
Experience of working on large projects from start to completion.
Experience on projects with values of £50M+ are at a distinct advantage.
You must have excellent numerical, IT and problem solving skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
