Fuel Specialist

Our client, a leading procurement company based on the outskirts of Norwich, are currently seeking a Fuel Specialist to join their team.

This is a full time, permanent role, based in Norwich, working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Benefits:

8% employer pension contribution

26 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays. This rises with each years service by an additional day, up to 7 extra days

Have your birthday off as an extra days holiday, if it falls on your working day

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

* Ability to learn about new technologies

* Ability to write clear and convincing proposals

* Ability to undertake analysis and summarise findings clearly

* Have strong IT and data management skills including all Microsoft Packages

* Excellent record keeping skills

* Previous experience working in a customer service industry

* Strong administrative skills

* Patience with non-technical people

* Accountability

Duties and Responsibilities

* Providing members with expert fuel guidance along with account management support on all core and ancillary product lines

* Service Member Fuel requirements received via telephone/email/ ecommerce platforms

* Working as part of the wider team to promptly answer calls with excellent levels of customer service, dealing with order processing and enquiries ensuring the best prices and required delivery timescales

* Servicing Fuelcard and Fuel/LPG Top up services

* Ensure members are kept updated with progress on their orders to include supporting both our clients members and suppliers with any potential delivery service levels constraints

* Taking responsibility of all failed quotations to identify and report reasons for procurement resolution

* To proactively identify new business opportunities for and work towards increasing member commitment and volumes along with developing new and existing product lines

* Supporting any proactive seasonal calling campaigns to ensure the members are aware of all products and services and upselling whenever possible

* Assisting with administrative tasks as required

* Ability to work outside of usual office hours as and when required. You may also be asked to represent the company outside of the office

* Assist the invoicing teams where necessary to facilitate prompt member/supplier query/billing resolution

* Attend Supplier meetings as and when required

* Ensure members are kept updated with progress on their orders

Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Problem Solving, ability to handle unexpected or difficult situations

* Ability to win new business.

* Fuel industry experience

* Basic knowledge of ecommerce platforms and handling online order requests

* Able to come up with ideas for improvement and development of the Fuel category

Overview of Role

Working as an integral part of the Fuel team you will deliver a smooth procurement process based on Members needs and requirements.

You will be responsible for leading on Member service requirements with the Procurement Manager and facilitating the smooth migration of key product areas to ecommerce platforms where relevant.

Focused on simplifying and digitising the Fuel procurement processes, ensuring our clients members receive expert Fuel account management support along with excellent customer service.

Committed to building strong partnerships throughout the supply chain to ensure the highest levels of service and competitive pricing.
