Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Secondary School in Manchester (M22) Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September 2023

The Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with special educational needs within our esteemed M22 Secondary School. Working closely with the school's inclusion team, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support: Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEND, ensuring their unique learning needs are met, and progress is closely monitored.
Classroom Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and personalised support strategies tailored to each student's requirements.
Behavioural Guidance: Foster positive behaviour management techniques and encourage social development among students.
Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing educational materials and resources, adapting them to suit the needs of students with various learning abilities.
Personal Care: Provide additional support for students with physical disabilities or medical requirements, ensuring their well-being during school hours.Requirements:

Qualifications: Possess relevant qualifications or certifications related to education and/or special needs support.
Experience: Previous experience working with students with SEND is advantageous but not essential.
Passion: Exhibit genuine enthusiasm for empowering students and helping them overcome educational barriers.
Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
Patience: Display patience, empathy, and understanding towards students' diverse needs.
