Job Summary: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Dartford/Essex, UK Hybrid
Salary: £54,000-£59,000 per annum + Vehicle and fuel card
Benefits: Company vehicle & fuel card, pension, private medical insurance, 21 days annual leave (rising to 25 with time served)
Overview: The company is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for small to medium-sized projects in the water industry. The role involves overseeing technical input, ensuring safety compliance, and directing teams during the installation of electrical systems and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and allocate work to operatives and apprentices
Interpret technical drawings and ensure the availability of all necessary technical information
Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and quality standards
Oversee procurement of materials and management of subcontractors
Prepare estimates, quotations, contract documents, risk assessments, and safety plans
Manage project changes, quality control, and health & safety compliance
Skills & Qualifications:
Electrical Engineering qualification
Proficiency in design codes, technical standards, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and time-management skills
Knowledge of water treatment processes, CDM regulations, and health & safety
Desirable: Thames Water Safety Passport, EUSR Water Hygiene card
