Our Process engineering client in the Water sector is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based out of their Birmingham office on a permanent basis with some travel to Guildford.
The candidate will need NEC contract experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities
Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting
Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place.
Carry out cost management including forecasting.
Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy.
Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
Supervise and mentor quantity surveyors
Accurate monthly forecasting
Ability to challenge resources and costs.
Maintaining deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar
Skills/experience/qualifications
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
Hold a UK Driving License
Educated to a degree level or equivalent experience
Water industry experience would be advantageous.
Flexibility is also key for this roleBenefits
36 hour week (Mon to Fri) with flexible working hours
Hybrid working - 3 days office based and 2 WFH
24 days holiday increasing to 27 days max after 5 years plus 8 bank holidays
Holiday Trade Scheme - option to sell/buy an additional 5 days
Pension - employee pays 5% company pays 8% (increases to 10% after 5 years)

Life Assurance - 6x salary (when join pension scheme)
