Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that is working collaboratively with a private client on various infrastructure projects as part of a large framework in the Southwest. On this framework their projects are located in Somerset, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire & Devon. Individual projects can be worth up to £100m with a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage, otter rehabilitation, culverts and rivers etc.

As a Senior Estimator you will report directly to the Estimating Director and will contributes to the whole departments targets. In your role, your duties will include (but not limited to):

Registration, control and administration of tender documentation

Completing take offs from drawings

Compiling a tenderbook for internal reviews and settlement

Preparing and managing of tenders from initial receipt through to delivery

Liaising with supply chain teams in relation to supplier and subcontractor enquiries

Preparing tender submission documents and estimating reports

Assisting in proposal and contract management functions

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Solid understanding of first principles

Experience tendering on civil engineering projects

Previously worked as an Estimator or a Senior Estimator for a main contractor

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
