1:1 SEN learning support Assistants - Stoke
Academics are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-to-1 SEN Learning Support Practitioners to work across our partnering primary schools on a full-time basis for the new academics year. Successful candidates will work closely with a pupils with complex needs including ASD, ADHD, Behavioural needs providing personalised support to facilitate their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a child with complex needs in their educational activities.
Create and implement individualised learning plans tailored to the specific needs of the pupil
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages the child's confidence and independence.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the child's learning experience.
Monitor and track the progress of the child, adjusting support strategies as needed to address any challenges or barriers to learning.Requirements:
Experience working with children with complex needs, preferably in an educational setting.
Knowledge and understanding of various special educational needs and the strategies to support them effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with special needs.
