Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Barnsley
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential housebuilding? We are a well-established housebuilder based in Barnsley, and we’re looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team.

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of multiple residential developments. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and costs
* Working closely with site managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency
* Conducting regular valuations, cost reports, and forecasting
* Managing subcontractor procurement, agreements, and payments
* Handling cost variations and resolving any financial issues
* Supporting the project team in delivering homes on time and within budget
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential housebuilding sector is essential
* Proven track record of delivering accurate costings and budgets on housing developments
* Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management processes
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in relevant Quantity Surveying software and MS Office
* Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
