Information Governance Officer - Local Authority
Location: LE67 3FJ
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 36.25 hours per week
Pay rate: £17.47 per hour
Duties and responsibilities:
Carry out the end-to-end process for responding to Freedom of Information Act and Subject Access requests to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
Regular contact with other services, residents and elected members.
Supporting officers with Data Protection Impact Assessments.
Supporting ICT ensuring continued security of our information assets.
Supporting the Data Protection Officer and Legal Team where required.Skills and experience:
Evidence of expertise in the field of Information Management and Freedom of Information.
Continued professional development to keep up to date with legislation changes e.g. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Knowledge and understanding of the role of Local Government and the environment within which it operates.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent and bespoke IT software systems.
