About the Role:
As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties. Your role will focus on promoting recovery, independence, and well-being through tailored support and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' mental health needs and risks.
* Develop and implement person-centred care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
* Provide ongoing support and intervention to help individuals manage their mental health and achieve their goals.
* Work closely with other health and social care professionals to deliver integrated care.
* Engage in safeguarding processes to protect vulnerable individuals and ensure their safety.
* Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with relevant policies and procedures.
* Advocate for service users, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
* Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
* Experience in mental health social work and knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act.
* Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in your practice.
* Empathy and resilience, with a focus on recovery-oriented approaches
