Job Title: Teacher of Psychology

Position: Full-Time Psychology Teacher (Permanent)

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join our team full-time from January 2025. This is a permanent role, providing the opportunity to inspire students in the study of Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about Psychology and education, delivering engaging lessons that challenge students to think critically and develop a deep understanding of human behavior and mental processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Psychology lessons in line with the curriculum
Inspire students to develop an interest in Psychological theories, research, and applications
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Psychology exams, providing support for their academic development
Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and support
Contribute to the development of the Psychology department, including resources and schemes of work
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and inquiry
Provide pastoral support to students, encouraging both personal and academic growthAbout You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Psychology or a related field
Strong subject knowledge of Psychology and its application to secondary education
Experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A passion for psychology and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activitiesWhat We Offer:
