Position: Full-Time Art Teacher (Permanent)

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join our team full-time from January 2025. This permanent position offers the opportunity to inspire and guide students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them explore and develop their artistic skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for both teaching and the visual arts, delivering lessons that foster creativity and critical thinking while aligning with the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and innovative art lessons across a range of mediums, in line with the national curriculum
Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop technical skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for their artistic growth
Contribute to the development of the Art department and collaborate on exhibitions and showcases
Create a stimulating and inspiring classroom environment that promotes a love for the arts
Provide pastoral support to students, helping them develop both artistically and personallyAbout You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Art or a related subject
Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and contemporary practices
Experience teaching art in a secondary school setting, including GCSE and A-Level
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Passion for fostering creativity and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential
