PK Education is excited to offer a SENCo MAT Cover opportunity at a wonderful primary school in North Leeds, recently awarded an Outstanding Ofsted rating! This is a fantastic chance to join a dynamic team, working 2-3 days per week from October 2024 to June 2025.

Key Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- National Award for SEN Co-ordination

- Degree

Experience:

- Proven teaching experience and experience working at a whole-school level.

- Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning.

- Experience leading training or INSET sessions.

Essential Skills & Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.

- Knowledge of ‘quality first’ teaching and effective intervention strategies.

- Ability to plan and evaluate interventions using data analysis to inform decisions.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate.

- Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail.

Personal Qualities:

- Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for pupils and promoting the school’s ethos and values.

- A dedication to equal opportunities and supporting pupils with SEN or disabilities.

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentiality.

- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality.
