Generator Field Service Engineer required. Our client boasts one of the widest ranges of generators and ancillary equipment in the UK, ranging from 20kva to 1250kva, that can handle anything from a planned event to an emergency power shortage. They are now looking for a Generator Field Service Engineer in Durham due to the growth of the business.

Successful candidates will service generators of hire fleet and customers equipment providing a high-quality service to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Generator Field Service Engineer Position Overview

Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers equipment.
Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers equipment.
Preparation of equipment for hire.
Installation and disconnection of equipment on site. (Synchronising where appropriate).
Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation. (Wiring in where appropriate).
Carry out duties on call out rota system.
Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
Ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
Always act in the best interests of the company, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute.
Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications.
Proactively contribute to the company's policy of continuous improvement.
Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.

Generator Field Service Engineer Position Requirements

3+ years' experience in a similar role or industry (generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering/high voltage)
Any Plant/Mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ's or apprenticeship qualifications)
Fork Lift Truck Licence (desired but training can be provided)
Happy staying away on the odd occasion

Generator Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary: £29,120- £41,000
Working hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
Overtime available.
Company Vehicle + Fuel Card
Holiday Package: 20 days + 8BH increasing a day each year.
