Our client, a leading electronics manufacturer in High Wycombe, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join their production team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with a strong background in electronics assembly, wiring, and testing. The successful candidate will ensure that all electronic components and systems meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly & Wiring: Assemble and wire electronic components, cutting, stripping, crimping, and connecting wires per technical drawings and specifications.
System Integration: Build and route cable harnesses, ensuring all connections meet design and performance requirements.
Soldering & Component Installation: Perform precise soldering of wires and install components onto circuit boards, connectors, and terminals.
Testing & Quality Control: Conduct testing (e.g., continuity and insulation resistance) to verify compliance with industry and company standards, inspecting all work for adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve issues in wiring, connections, and assemblies, ensuring minimal production delays.
Documentation & Compliance: Accurately read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols, including the company's 5S policy.
Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing training to enhance your technical skills and suggest improvements to streamline production efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support general manufacturing tasks and ensure smooth production operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Experience with hand tools such as cutters, strippers, crimp tools, and soldering irons.
Strong understanding of electrical testing equipment like continuity testers and multimeters.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.Desired:
Experience with complex wiring assemblies and cable harnessing.
Familiarity with computer software for data entry and information retrieval (e.g., Word, Excel)
