White Label are excited to be recruiting for a Works Manager for an expanding Engineering business based in the Liverpool area.

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE (increasing after probation and again after one year) + Discretionary Monthly Profit-Based Bonus
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Overview of Works Manager:

A well-established organisation with over 20 years in the industry, is seeking an experienced Works Manager to join the engineering team. With a focus on managing both the office and shop floor, this role will be integral to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working closely with directors to drive the company's continued growth in the machining, welding, and powder coating sectors. This is a hands-on position where the successful candidate will take charge of overseeing some projects, managing staff, and ensuring timely production and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day operations for some of the engineering team (consisting of sales assistants, machinists, and fabricators).

* Support the management of some projects, ensuring timelines are met.

* Manage production schedules, ensuring that products are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

* Develop, monitor, and improve internal systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.

* Serve as the key liaison between the office and the shop floor, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.

* Maintain and build relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

* Assist in driving sales growth by managing new business opportunities and handling existing accounts.

* Report directly to the directors, contributing to strategic decision-making as part of the SLT.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Engineering background preferred (ideally with experience in machining, welding, and general manufacturing processes).

* Prior experience in managing people and overseeing teams in an engineering or manufacturing setting.

* Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance improvements.

* Commercial awareness.
