About the Role:
Equitas is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic **Teaching Assistant**. This is a full-time temporary position, offering an excellent opportunity to support students and work closely with the teaching team to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
* Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials.
* Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to provide additional support, particularly with SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.
* Help monitor students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
* Support the emotional and social development of students.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
* A passion for education and helping students succeed.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different student needs.
* Experience working with SEN students is a bonus.
* A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
