Our client is a leading supplier of processed chicken to the food industry, based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. We are looking for a food production operative to join the team who will be taken on a permanent contract after 12 weeks. This role comes with immediate start!

Role overview:
You will be responsible for the bagging of minced chicken (10kgs bags), so must be physically fit and comfortable in coldstore environment. Once bagged, the product is put onto trays, and then placed into racking within a freezer. Working to strict food hygiene standards, and maintaining health & safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Must be physically fit as manual handling heavy bags
• Must be comfortable working with fresh poultry
• In a cold store with temperatures between 0 - 4 degrees

Skills and Experience:
• Previous experience in cold stores is ideal
• Previous warehouse experience required
• Must be able to provide recent work references to demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness
